Locks Product Warranty Service

PLC is an agent for many brands that provide products surpassed various quality assurance tests for performance and reliability. Additionally, PLC provides a two-year product carry-in warranty for mechanical and electronic locks sold by PLC retail shops and authorized dealers.

For product(s) originally installed by PLC technicians, the customer can enjoy first-year free on-site maintenance service and parts replacement, and second-year free carry-in maintenance service. If the customer requires an on-site inspection service in the second year, the inspection fee will be charged additionally.

If the customer requires on-site maintenance service for the locks that are not installed by PLC technicians, the extra inspection fee will be charged. During the warranty period and provided that the Product was used under normal use and conditions, the customer will be entitled to free repair service of the Product and free replacement of parts arising from defects in the materials and workmanship of the Product (fair wear and tear excepted). However, this warranty is excluding (without limitation) repair and/or replacement and /or cleaning of the product has been damaged by negligence or improper use (ex: batteries leakage), the warranty will not be applicable.

 The warranty period of mechanical and electronic locks will commence from the purchase date as shown on the sales invoice.

 

General Terms and Conditions

1. This warranty is valid in Hong Kong SAR only.

2. Customer claims require both the original warranty card and original invoice to be presented.

3. Installation and transportation costs are not covered by this warranty.

4. Customer shall bear the risk and be responsible for all damages, injury or loss (including consequential loss, loss of profit, injury or damage) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with the service delivery, or use of the product.

5. This warranty card will not be re-issued if lost.

6. For product(s) intended for home use transferred for commercial application; or product(s) not approved for outdoor use being installed in an outdoor or semi-outdoor location, the said warranty will be invalid immediately.

7. If the product should become a discontinued or obsolete model and/or no components can be supplied, PLC shall offer a compatible replacement product to carry out the remainder of the warranty period.

8. Terms and conditions are subject to change without prior notice.

9. In any case of discrepancies between Chinese and English versions of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.

10. The PLC Group reserves all rights to make the final decision.

 

Special Terms and Conditions

1. Customer must present the relevant invoice and job order form to enjoy the warranty service for maintenance.

2. For product(s) intended for home use transferred for commercial application; or product(s) not approved for outdoor use being installed in an outdoor or semi-outdoor location, the said warranty will be invalid immediately.

3. Change of date and time of the Service will not be accepted without 3 working days notification in advance.

4. Our technicians will re-confirm the scheduled booking by telephone prior to installation arrival time. If our technician cannot contact the customer or authorized person before the booking time, the booking will be automatically canceled. If the booking needs to be re-scheduled due to the above-said reason, an administrative fee of HK$200 will be charged.

5. In the event of Black Rainstorm Warning or Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or above is hoisted, the Service on that day will be canceled. The Service will be re-scheduled on the other working day without additional charge. Any service charges paid by the customer will not be refundable or deductible.

6. Installation and on-site maintenance services are not applicable to locations outside Hong Kong. If the location is difficult to be reached by public transport, an additional fee of HK$200 or above will be charged. (Not including outlying islands)

7. Any service charges paid by the customer are not refundable and cannot be transferred to other job orders or other product purchases.

8. The customer should inspect the job and premises done by the technician and sign the Job Order Form to acknowledge acceptance of products and services completed. PLC will not be responsible for any claims of damages thereafter.

9. During the warranty period, all maintenance services and parts shall be provided by PLC. If the product has been repaired or modified by any unauthorized third party, the warranty will become invalid immediately. Any losses or responsibilities should be borne by the customer.

10. If our technician indicates any improper use (ex Batteries leakage) or maintenance of the products, or any damages caused by negligence, the warranty will not be applicable. If the customer requires maintenance service under such a situation, service and parts fee will be charged separately.

11. On-site warranty for maintenance is applicable for servicing product malfunction only. General daily use and operations under normal environment are excluded (i.e. change of batteries, oil lubrication, cleaning, user setting) from the scope of the two-year product carry-in warranty.

12. Official PLC warranty & services are offered by designated authorized dealers only. Products sold via third party resellers may not be entitled to any warranty claims whatsoever.

Video Doorphone and Door Access Control Warranty Service

For product(s) originally installed by PLC technicians, the customer can enjoy a one-year free on-site maintenance service and parts replacement. If the customer requires an on-site inspection service, the inspection fee will be charged additionally.

If the customer requires an on-site maintenance service for the product that is not installed by PLC technicians, the extra inspection fee will be charged. During the warranty period and provide the Product was used under normal use and conditions, the customer will be entitled to free repair service of the Product and free replacement of parts arising from defects in the materials and workmanship of the Product (fair wear and tear excepted). Warranty for residential decorative lighting

PLC offers an exclusive one year warranty from the date of purchase for all residential decorative lighting; herein defined as ceiling, pendent, wall, table, and floor lamp types. In the event of malfunction or defect during the period, the Warranty will cover repairs and parts replacement.

Furthermore, for lighting fixtures installed by our PLC Technician, the warranty also includes a one year free-of-charge on-site visit in Hong Kong.

For any decorative lighting not installed by our PLC technician, customers are entitled to carry-in product warranty services; additional inspection fees will be required for on-site service.

 

Terms and Conditions

1. Lighting Installation Service will be provided in indoor area only and there should have electricity supply and switch in proper place that are comply to relevant legal restrictions.

2. Any wiring, changing switch and fuse replacement is excluded in the Lighting Installation Service.

3. The maximum height for Lighting Installation Service is 10 feet. Additional charges (subject to negotiation) will be required for areas over 10 feet height.

4. Ladder of 5 to 7 feet should be provided by customer to our technician.

5. Installation Service will NOT be provided for installation in false ceiling (aluminum cell ceiling, asbestos ceiling, timber ceiling etc.), recessed mounted lighting, and other non-PLC products.

6. Customer or authorized person should inspect and sign to acknowledge acceptance of the product(s) if delivery is done by our company. Our company will NOT be responsible for any damages or lost thereafter.

7. During Installation or Maintenance Service, customer or authorized person should be present to instruct the proper location for installation or maintenance. Otherwise the Installation or Maintenance Service will be cancelled.

13. Our company will not be responsible for any direct or indirect loss, damage, cost incurred, or damage of property caused by the Service.

14. Customer should inspect the job and premises done by the technician and sign the Job Order Form to acknowledge acceptance of products and services completed. Our company will not be responsible for any claims to damages thereafter.

15. Customer must present the relevant invoice and job order form to enjoy the warranty service for maintenance.

16. Maintenance Service does NOT include change or repairing of light bulb, glass, electroplating and colour fading parts.

17. On-site Maintenance Service is only applicable to product installed by our technician. If the product is not installed by our technician, customer should carry the product to our retail shops for maintenance or pay for on-site maintenance.

18. Maintenance Service is NOT applicable to any negligence, or damages caused by installation or maintenance not performed by our technician.

19. The first year free On-site Maintenance Service will be normally provided within office hour i.e. 9:30am-6:00pm from Monday to Saturday. No service will be on Sunday and Public Holiday.

20. In any case of discrepancies between Chinese and English versions of this Terms and Conditions, the English language version shall prevail.

The above Warranty Service is only applicable to products under normal use. In case of disputes, The PLC Group reserve all rights to make final decision. (We reserve the rights to amend or terminate the above services without prior notice.)

The purpose of collection the personal data was for installation and maintenance. PLC will safeguard the data against unauthorized disclosure.

The above warranties are limited to on-site inspection in Hong Kong, carry-in and carry-out to and from our headquarter and our retail shops respectively.  Invoice and warranty card should be presented.

 

Warranty for Safe

1. Commencing from Date of Purchase, PLC will provide One Year Limited Warranty (Drop-in Service) to customers.

2. For service inquiries within warranty period, please call our Customer Service Hotline, + 852-2765-9667, quoting the Model Number and Problem. we will try to diagnose the problem over the phone. lf further service is required, please bring the product to our company along with this Warranty Card and the official Purchase lnvoice.

3. For any defect caused under normal use (on which our company reserves the right for final decision) within warranty period, PLC will provide basic repair service.

4. PLC may charge the customers for extra services that are Not lncluded on this Warranty Card, e.g. On-site Diagnosis Service, Extra Consumption and lnstallation of replacement parts, etc.

5. The warranty will be voided if the product has been:

a. Repaired, Altered, Tampered by any person other than PLC's technicians.

b. Damage caused by Misuse of the product by the customer, not following the Operating lnstructions, Negligence, Accident or Natural Calamities.

6. Please retain the Warranty Card and present it together with the Purchase lnvoice / Receipt issued by the dealer to our technicians for inspection when service is rendered.

7. lf the information recorded in the Warranty Card mismatch with that on Purchase lnvoice / Receipt issued by the dealer, warranty service will not be provided. The Warranty Card will be voided if it is altered or amended.

8. For customers who had bought Fire safes and encountered fire accident, PLC guarantees to have one to one replacement on the same Fire Safe model if the customer can present the accident record issued by the Hong Kong Police together with the damaged fire safe or formal purchase invoice as evidence. This Term will ONLY apply to Yale Safes with Fire Proof Function.

9. lf the customer loses the Warranty Card, PLC reserves the right to provide warranty service or not.

10. The warranty services is valid in Hong Kong only.

11. The warranty service described in this Warranty Card is on product itself and will continue to apply for the period specified in clause (1) , regardless of change of ownership or location. Customers are responsible for all extra warranty service charges associated with change of ownership or relocation of the product.
